Obituary of Blossom Lerner
Blossom Lerner, 91, a resident of Pompton Plains since 1954, passed away on October 9, 2018.
Born in New York City, Blossom was the daughter of Norman and Jenny Klein. She married Sidney Lerner in 1948 and the couple lived in Dover and East Orange before finding their true home in Pompton Plains, a community she loved so much.
Blossom spent many years working as a bookkeeper for Rentals Unlimited and was a former member of Congregation Beth Shalom in Pompton Lakes. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and great grandmother who always found the positive in others and was there to lend a helping hand, a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on.
Blossom is survived by her daughter, Amy McKnight; her sister, Iris Kislin; her grandchildren, Daniel Lerner, Sarah Lerner, Jenny Blitshtein, Rachel Andrelczyk, Laura Lane and Zachary Lerner; her great grandchildren, Zoe Blitshtein, Cameron Andrelczyk, Savannah Lane, Wolf Luton and Jacob Blitshtein. She was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Lerner; her son, Eric Lerner; and her son in-law, John McKnight.
A graveside service will be held 12:30 pm on Friday, October 12 at King Solomon Cemetery, 550 Dwasline Road, Clifton, NJ 07012.
