Brandon Tylor Lastfogel, 30, of Blairstown, formerly of Kinnelon, died Friday, June 1, 2018.
Born in Montclair, Brandon was the son of Mark and Allison (nee Chandless) Lastfogel. Raised in Kinnelon, he was a 2006 graduate of Kinnelon High School. He went on to study at Nyack Bible College before starting his career.
As a child, Brandon was always drawn to the outdoors. When buying their home in Kinnelon, his parents asked "what would you like in our new house?" His answer was simply, "trees." His youth was spent climbing those trees around their home, as well as 4-wheeling, hunting and fishing around the beautiful lands of Kinnelon.
Brandon was also very involved in his church, and had a strong faith in God. As a child, he was an active member of Jacksonville Chapel, and later at Emergence in Totowa.
After college, Brandon worked for Pritchett Tree Service before becoming a member of Local Union 825, working as a truck driver for Bruce R. Koerner Cranes & Equipment out of Rockaway.
Brandon possessed a gentle spirit and a kind, serving soul. He will be dearly missed by those that loved him dearly. He is survived by his parents, Mark Lastfogel and his wife Lisa, and Allison Lastfogel-Rooney and her husband Arthur; his siblings, Travis K. Lastfogel and Adrianne P. Lastfogel; his grandmother, Jean Pintagro and her husband Sebastian; his stepsister, Danielle K. Schatteman and her children Carter and Weston Schatteman; his stepsister, Alyssa G. Dezenzo; his girlfriend, Alexandria Plocharczyk; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held 1 pm on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Emergence Church, 930 Riverview Drive, Suite 500, Totowa, NJ 07512
In lieu of flowers, donations in Brandon's memory to #Howtolife would be greatly appreciated by the Lastfogel family.
