Madeline Bragman, known to all as "Chic," a longtime resident of Little Falls, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 following a brief illness. She was 79.
Born in Paterson, Chic was raised there. The daughter of Dominick and Esther Feragola, she graduated high school in Paterson, and was soon introduced through friends to Donald Bragman. He impressed her with drives in his 1955 Bel Air, and in February of 1957, they married.
"Ducky" and Chic lived first in Paterson before settling in Little Falls in 1965, together raising three children. In addition to caring for her family, Chic worked in Human Resources at Sears Robuck in Wayne for 35 years. Following her retirement from there in the mid-1980s, she worked for 10 years as a Receptionist for Century Shower Doors in Woodlawn Park.
Chic filled her happiest days loving her family and cooking up a feast, no matter what day it was. She worked hard, but enjoyed spending time with her closest friends at the casinos. After retirement, she spent her days with her loving husband and beloved dog, Gracie.
Chic had a heart of gold and cherished everyone in her life. She provided the best home for her children and her granddaughter. She brought many laughs, smiles and love to the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Chic is lovingly survived by her daughters, June Rotio, and Lisa Cannata and her husband Giuseppe; her grandchildren, Danielle Rotio, Jennifer Allesi, and Karyn Bragman; and her great-granddaughter, Lilyana Allesi. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Bragman Sr., in 2016, and her son, Donald Bragman Jr., in 2013.
