While I never met Thomas in person, I have known his son Jim Healy and his lovely wife Laurie for a little over five years. Jim always spoke of his father fondly and with respect. When I found out Thomas was a Marine and served in World War II including Guadalcanal, I knew this was a special man. Being a veteran myself I have the utmost respect for men of the Greatest Generation, which Thomas was a fine example. He was blessed to live a very long healthy life until recently. With his Catholic faith I am sure he was called home by our Lord. RIP my fellow veteran.
