Diane Raftis Lobosco, 55, of Haskell, died Friday, December 28, 2018.
Born in New York City, she was the daughter of Fred and Judy Raftis. Raised in the Bronx, the family moved to Pequannock when Diane and her brother were teenagers, and she graduated Pequannock Township High School in 1981.
Diane was blessed with three daughters, and she spent the rest of her life caring for them and putting their needs first. She adored her family, and would do whatever she needed to for them to succeed.
Four years ago, she connected with Giuseppe "Joe" DiMarco, and the two quickly fell in love. In short time, Joe realized Diane was a girl he had "fell in love with at first sight" back in 1989, but was unable to connect with her back then. They greatly enjoyed one another's company and were happy to finally be together.
Diane was blessed with four grandchildren, all of whom she loved immensely. Being surrounded by her family was everything to Diane. She brought smiles and laughs to everyone around her, and everyone she met became a friend.
Diane had worked as a home health aid for more than ten years before her passing. She selflessly cared for people in need and always gave 100 percent.
Diane is lovingly survived by her daughters, Jennifer Ballard and her husband Shawn, Tiffany Colfax, and Victoria Lobosco; her mother, Judy Raftis; her brother, Freddy Raftis and his wife Tracie, and their son Frederick; her boyfriend, Giuseppe "Joe" DiMarco; and her grandchildren, Arianna Ballard, Ava Jennings, Shawn Ballard Jr., and Autumn Jennings.
Cremation was held privately. A repast will be held Thursday from 2-7 pm at the Butler Firehouse, Butler NJ.
