Cynthia S. Clark McNamara, 62, a resident of Pompton Lakes, passed away at home October 5, 2021 in the loving care of her family.
Born to Bette and Richard Clark, Cindy was raised in North Haledon before moving to Pompton Lakes with her husband Gene to start and raise their family. Together Cindy and Gene had three boys, Jonathan, Brad, and Erick. Cindy recently retired from a longtime career in education, most notably as a Home Economics teacher at Eisenhower Middle School in Wyckoff, New Jersey.
Cindy was known for attending all her children’s sporting events, yelling, and whistling on the sidelines. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and family, taking many trips to California to visit her son, Jonathan, daughter-in-law, Shelby, and most recently her grandson, Bradley. No place, though, held a greater place in her heart than Long Beach Island, where she spent many summers enjoying the beach with her family.
Cindy is lovingly survived by her husband Gene; her sons, Jonathan and Erick; grandson, Bradley; her siblings Rick, Kathy, and Karen; as well as many other loved ones and friends. She was predeceased by her son Brad; and parents Richard and Bette Clark.
A memorial service will be held on October 7, 2021 from 1pm- 7pm at Christ Church, located at 400 Ramapo Avenue in Pompton Lakes. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, https://give.ocrahope.org/CindyClarkMcNamara, would be appreciated by the McNamara Family.
