Mary Anne Rogalny, 78, of Manchester, formerly a longtime resident of Pompton Plains, died Friday, September 24, 2021.
Born in Paterson, Mary was the daughter of Russell and Mary Reidy. Raised in Wayne, she was a graduate of Wayne Valley High School.
Marrying classmate Richard J. Rogalny in 1963, the couple first lived in Pompton Lakes before buying their first home in Pequannock, and starting their family. After a brief move to Cape Coral, Florida, they returned to Pequannock and enjoyed life there for nearly 30 years before retiring to Manchester.
Though illness and disability limited her movement, Mary was determined to enjoy her life. She was a talented artist, and greatly enjoyed painting and doing all sorts of crafts, especially with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Scott, Bryan, and Theresa; her grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan, Christopher, and Anthony; and her siblings, Russell and Claudia. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul.
Visiting hours will be held 10am-12:30 Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held 1 pm Thursday at Our Lady of Magnificat Chapel, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon, NJ. Burial will follow at the church's cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the Rogalny family.
