Barbara Fischer, 63, of Pompton Plains passed away April 22, 2021.
Barbara was a long-time resident of Pompton Plains where she met her husband, Paul. They have been together for 41 years and raised two children Michael and Christine. Barbara worked for many years as a bookkeeper and real estate agent.
She was a devoted mother and loved being involved in all of her children’s school events and activities. Barbara had a special place in her heart for her dogs and always had one as a companion. She especially enjoyed family vacations down the shore and to Vermont. She loved being outdoors and taking long walks. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make everyone smile.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband Paul Fischer; her children Michael and Christine; her sister Linda White; her Aunt, Faith Turner; her Uncle, Bill Rea; her nieces Heather White and Carrie Matthews and her nephew Joshua Turner; Barbara was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Barbara White.
Family will welcome guests for visitation from 5-8pm Friday April 30, 2021. A private funeral service will be held with the family the following day Saturday May 1, 2021 at 10am. Interment will take place at First Reformed Church Cemetery in Pompton Plains.
Barbara struggled with Lyme Disease for many years but she always approached life with a positive loving outlook and greatly appreciated the time she spent with family and friends.
