Rose Lombardo, 91, of Pequannock, passed away on December 6, 2017.
The daughter of Anthony and Jennette Adamo, Rose was born in Paterson on March 25, 1926. She grew up in Fair Lawn before settling in Pequannock with her husband in 1953. She spent her career working as the cash room manager for Bradlees, a job she really enjoyed, and retired at the age of 65.
Rose was an avid traveler and especially loved visiting Cape Cod. Family was most important to Rose and she loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spoke to her sister every day and enjoyed spending her time visiting with her extended family and many friends.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Janet Radcliffe and her husband Douglas; her sister, Rachel Pezzuti; her grandchildren, Heather Radcliffe-McGinnis and Jason Radcliffe; her great grandchildren, Cadence and Leah McGinnis; and her nephews, Bill and Chuck Pezzuti. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 1968.
Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 pm Friday, December 8 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated by her family.
