Carol P. Hamilton, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010.

Born on Long Island to Adolph and Matilda Potdevin, she was a resident of Newfoundland prior to moving to Pompton Plains four years ago. Carol was the co-owner of the Potdevin Machine Company and was known as an avid traveler.

Carol is survived by her sons, James and his wife, Rebecca and Thomas and his wife, Terry; her daughters, Ann Hamilton-Dixon and her husband, Thomas and Lynn Hamilton and her husband, Rick Scotti; her brother, Robert Potdevin and her six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Woodrow.

A memorial gathering will be held at The Belmont Music Room in Cedar Crest Village, 1 Cedar Crest Drive, Pompton Plains on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. Cremation was private.
