Martin F. Quinn, 82, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at home.
Born in Avoca, PA to Arthur and Mary (nee McGlynn), Martin was a 50 year resident of Pompton Plains. A graduate of Seton Hall University, he also served his country in the Navy during WW II. He went on to found his own company, Quinn Service Agency.
Martin was a member of the Pequannock Democratic Club, American Legion Post #242 and the Knights of Columbus Bishop Navagh Council # 5943.
Martin is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Molly); his brother, Michael; his son, Daniel and his wife, Kerry; his daughters, Karen DeBellonia and her husband, Jim and Kathleen Engelhardt and her husband, Ricky and his 11 grandchildren, Patrick, Brian, Joseph, Lyndsay, Kerry, Danielle, Lauren, Kelli, Brittany, Jacqueline and Jennifer. He was predeceased by his sister, June Marie Berquist and his brother, C. Jerome Quinn.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Mass will take place at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the First Reformed Cemetery in Pompton Plains.
