Diana Becker (nee McAvoy) of Oak Ridge, formerly of Pompton Plains, died surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover.

Diane was the founder and president of Second Chance Pet Adoption League, a not for profit organization, where she along with dozens of volunteers rescued thousands of dogs and cats over the last twenty-five years.

Diane is survived by her children, Thomas Becker, Barbara Kocses, Katie Cinnante and John Becker; her sister, Dorothy Rickert; seven grandchildren and one grand son-in-law. She was predeceased by her husband Harry Becker in 2001.

Visiting hours are Friday evening 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will begin 9 am Saturday from the funeral home and a Mass will be celebrated 10 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, 155 West Parkway, Pompton Plains. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
