Mildred Kelly, 92, a former longtime resident of Pt. Pleasant Beach and Elizabeth, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Wayne.

Born in New York City, Mildred was the daughter of George and Marie Seivers. Growing up in New York, she attended PS 186 and graduated from Wadleigh High School in Manhattan.

Marrying James Joseph Kelly, the couple raised their four children in Elizabeth. After the youngest of her children went to school, Mildred started working as a housekeeper for St. Genevieve's Church in Elizabeth and the Madonna Rectory in Fort Lee. She later worked for the RCA Factory in Woodbridge, the Cosmair perfume outlet in Brick and as a physical therapist.

After raising her children, Mildred moved to Point Pleasant Beach, where she lived for more than 50 years before moving to Falls Church, VA, to be closer to her daughter.

Mildren is survived by her children, Rory Kelly, Brian Kelly, Brigid Terwilliger and Kathleen Adams, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James in 1962.

A funeral service and burial will be held at a future date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
