Edward K. Toth, recently of Pompton Plains, passed away at home on Saturday, February 4, 2012.  He was 86.

Born in New York, NY, he proudly served his country in the Navy. An engineer by trade, Edward was employed by Servometer Corporation in Little Falls until his retirement.  In his retirement he devoted his life to his wife, family and pursuing his goal of helping to make the world a better place

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Connie; his daughters, Daryl Gallo and her husband, Richard, Leslie Cole and her husband, Joe and Adrienne Merkin and her husband, Bob; his grandchildren, Jason Ingargiola and his wife, Ingrid, April Gallo, and Katie and Zack Merkin and his great grandchildren, Sophia and Olivia Ingargiola.

A memorial service will be held on 1 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Cedar Crest Village Chapel in Pompton Plains.  Cremation was private.  Arrangements are by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home in Pompton Plains.  

In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward's memory to Doctors Without Borders or the Cedar Crest Benevolent Fund would be appreciated by his family.
