Selma Riccobono, 86, of Pompton Plains, formerly of Tinton Falls and New York, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
Born in Brooklyn, Selma was the daughter of Otto and Pauline Glassman. Marrying Daniel Riccobono, the couple raised three daughters together. In addition to caring for her family, Selma worked as a Registered Nurse for many hospitals. Even in retirement, Selma enjoyed putting her nursing skills to use, working for many flu clinics and other public health interests.
Selma is survived by her daughters, Donna Riccobono, Patricia Montgomery, and Louise Gurewitch; her brother, Bernard Glassman; her sister, Sally Blatter; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel in 2004, and her sisters, Edith Slomin and Beatrice Georges.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Cedar Crest Chapel, 1 Cedar Crest Drive, Pompton Plains. Burial will be private.
