Catherine Maguire Hahn Jones, 90, of Wayne, formerly of Pompton Plains, died at home Wednesday, January 4, 2012.  

Born in Brooklyn, Catherine was the daughter of John T. and Sarah Maguire. Graduating high school, she served in the U.S. Army WAC as a Corporal during World War II.  While raising her family in Pompton Plains, Catherine was a member of American Legion Post 242, and served as President of the Post's Women's Auxilliary. She was also active with the Pompton Valley Little Theater Group.  

Catherine is survived by her children, H. Frederick Hahn, Michael J. Hahn, and Laura Buono; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Katharine Wolfson, and her siblings, John T. Maguire and Margaret McVay.  

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains, 529 Newark-Pompton Tpke., Pompton Plains. Cremation will be private.  Donations in Catherine's memory to Women in Service, via Women's Memorial Foundation, Dept. 560, Washington D.C. 20042-0560 would be greatly appreciated by her family.
